Recycling Fabric

Everyday is Earth Day

This piece of my blog is for all the conscious living people who want to save their share of the world. No wonder we all want to save the whole world, lets start by adding our pure tiny drops into the ocean.
Dedicated eco people ,First and formost make sure you see the label before buying.Atleast 50% should be natural fiber then you are atleast saving 50% of the earth as only natural fibers will decompose to organic matter faster and sooner. Other poly thingies do decompose but not to organic matter. Our first go green mission. " Check the tags "

We can donate good condition clothes directly to known local charities who are actually able to share it with the needy.
No time to search and your clothes are too old to be worn by any one.Yearly big companies do clothes collection drives during holiday season , so wait for it.Then there would be a clothes recycle bin of known organisations salvation army, goodwill in huge complexes parking lot. Very old or rag clothes, before dumping in recycle bin cut out all the hardware like zips, buttons, velcrow, elastic etc and dump fabric in green bin and hardware in blue bin of can , plastic, tin. " Trash it But spare a minute to cut recycle/non recycle "
Larger fabric items, like blankets, sheets, saree can be " upscaled or re purposed " . Just twirk your creative brain for it and do a Diy project for yourself . I use this method for my sewing products, which makes my products 99% green .There are hand skills and weaving methods to make old clothes to area rugs, mats etc. Recycling through handloom weaving. If our items are able to reach to those amazing skilled people we can get a upscaled item back.

I'm still in the process of figuring out what more and more ways to recycle the old clothes and fabrics we use.
Now we are part of beat plastic revolution when you choose a natural fiber person.
